The Thirsty Deer Technique

So, if you’re serious about making money online, you realize that having a squeeze page is
essential.

(What’s a squeeze page? It’s where you have just one option on the page. Usually an opt-in form
where people can get more information that you’ve
promised them by entering their email.)
But you don’t want just a “”squeeze page””. You can have one of those up within 5 minutes from now.
You want a HIGH CONVERTING squeeze page.
One that get’s you opt-ins and sales!
So the question is:
“”How do I create my squeeze page to get me the
desired results I’m looking for?””
“”How can my squeeze page result in daily sales?””
To hand you the answer here, realize that it doesn’t
take a degree in rocket science to get this right.
However, there is a certain right “”WAY”” to do it.
And most get this totally wrong.
I’ve seen some terrible pages out there!!!!
Most of the time, a squeeze page that get’s bad
results is because it’s too busy, it’s not clear
enough, or it’s too hyped up looking.
So what do we do?
1) Figure out what people in your target market
really want. What are their pains and problems.
What solution are they needing?
What shortcuts can you offer to them?
2) You create the page.
The best way to do this is explained very well by
a well known marketer, Daegan Smith.
He recommends the "thirsty deer" technique.
Imagine a thirsty deer, and it sees an open
meadow, and a beautiful creek ahead of him.
If everything looks great, he’ll hop on down to the
creek and start sipping up some water.
However, what if he spots a hunter with an orange
vest on?
What if he sees a truck down by the creek?
What if he smells human odor nearby the creek?
A deer is VERY skittish.
So if anything is off kilter there, he’ll flee.
He’ll move on to find water somewhere else!
The same thing applies to our squeeze pages.
People are very skittish.
And they’ll be more and more so over the years
in handing out things like their emails to strangers.
So busy graphics, fancy elements, anything that
looks like it’s not satisfying “”THEIR”” needs, they’ll
be like that deer. Poof! Gone.
So the key?
Keep it simple.
You can split test things of course, but usually the
best plan of attack here is to keep it simple. Not a
lot of fancy spancy stuff.
Just tell ‘em what you’ve got, and allow them to
put in their email to get it.
Don’t add things in that will scare people off.
That’s the key.
Of course, after that is the next critical step.
A converting OFFER.
Going from opt-in, to sale, to big profits…
The tips above will help you to get high converting
opt-ins.
This will help you with the next step in the process:

Are You Looking a Gift Horse in the Mouth??

"How do you know if you're looking a gift horse in the mouth?"
Let's break down what this idiom means and discuss the history of this popular saying...
It appears in 1546 English Print, as "don't look a given horse in the mouth", in John Heywood's 'A dialogue conteinyng the nomber in effect of all the prouerbes in the Englishe tongue', where he gives it as:
"No man ought to looke a geuen hors in the mouth."

But what is Heywood trying to tell us??
Don't be ungrateful when you receive a gift.
What all gifts are you missing out on because you've got the wrong idea about it?
Maybe it's time we reconsider online business.
Maybe it's time to expose it for what it really is and get ALL of the facts.
Maybe it's time to visit:
This website could change your attitude about making commissions online.
It could even turn out to be YOUR gift horse!

You can't have your cake and Eat it too

Have you ever heard of the saving:
"You can't have your cake
  and eat it too."
Take a second and think about what that's saying, because it doesn't just mean:
"Hey, you can receive this cake AND eat it."
And there'd be a nice little party for you, because heck, who doesn't like free cake?!
And I'm sure we've all had the thought:
"Well, what else would I do with the cake if I didn't eat it??"
What would you do?..
There's no enjoyment in looking at a cake and watching it turn useless in a matter of a week.
There's no enjoyment in just waiting for some magical time when the cake will replenish itself.
And there's no enjoyment in being denied your cake once you have held it in your hand.
What else are you being denied from enjoying?
What else have you held in your hands and felt it's worth,
But have never known the possibilities of it's pleasure??
This reminds me of the several other online businesses that I have joined.
I seemed to prosper, but I never saw the improvement in my life.
Things have changed for me!
I'm receiving my profit, while still spending and enjoying the money I earn from simple commissions.

I joined a different online business, called MTTB. I wont go into detail much here, but I've created a page to help tell all about it.

Here is the page I created with viewers like yourself in mind:

Staring at a Blank Page?

One of worst things a writer or online marketer may have to
face is having to stare at a blank piece of paper and have
that blank piece of paper stare right back into the depths of
their soul.

A blank canvas.

A clear slate.

And nothing to do now but create...

Whether you've tried to write a book, create a product,
sketch out a business plan or write any other type of
content online, likely you've faced this beast before
too.

How do you conquer this?

As for the brave, they Start.

They just start creating even if what they're writing
at first doesn't make so much sense or isn't perfect.

For many others, I'd venture to say 90% or more, they
don't start. They let that blank page beat them, and you
will quickly see them killing valuable time on FB and
becoming a victim of others to-do's inside their email.

But let's face the truth here...

Creating is hard. If it were easy, everyone would be doing it.

Even when you know "what" to create, it's still hard.

Take starting an online business up for example:

You've got to consider what market to sell in, what people
will likely buy from you, and you've got to decide how to
deliver the product.

You've got to create the product. Then you've got all of
the marketing, the tech set-up, the getting affiliates and
partners, putting support in place, and on it goes...

Again, complicated. Not easy.

That's why Simple Systems are so
powerful.

You can keep staring at a blank page and a empty savings
account, or you can leverage a powerful yet simple to
implement business model that will get you moving
right now.
